About Us
Our History
St. Joseph Services was founded in 2001 by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul to serve the needs of the poor in the city of Chicago. Seeking guidance from the office of Cardinal George, Humboldt Park and Austin were chosen to locate two distinct service sites. Partnering with San Miguel Schools–Gary Comer Campus and St. Mark’s Parish we now offer a range of programming to the youth and families of the communities we serve.
Our Mission
As stewards of the Vincentian Spirit, our mission is to serve and support families and individuals at risk, partnering with them to strengthen and develop their values and talents to reach their full potential.
Our Vision
Regardless of their situation, families and individuals can become pillars of strength in their local community, active members of a faith community, and role models for the next generation.
